Dr. Saad Islam grew up in Piscataway New Jersey and received his Bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience from Rutgers University. Dr. Islam is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then went on to complete a rigorous three year residency in Podiatric Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Dr. Islam served as Chief Resident during his final year. Throughout his residency, he received extensive training in foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rear foot reconstructive surgery, elective surgical techniques, minimally invasive bunion surgery, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and sports medicine. He attended courses and received training in arthroscopy and various surgical techniques including internal and external fixation. He is ABFAS board qualified in forefoot and rear foot & ankle surgery.
Dr. Islam performs the newest bunion procedures including Lapiplasty correction and Minimally Invasive surgery. He routinely provides conservative treatments to alleviate painful conditions for both adults and children. Office procedures include Injections, Ingrown nail procedures, Wart procedures, skin and nail biopsies, wound care and grafting, epidermal nerve fiber density testing for peripheral neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease testing, orthotics.
Dr. Islam is currently a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. His hobbies include watching and playing basketball.
