Farjana Azad APN, is an experienced Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in stroke neurology, critical care, and hospital medicine. Currently serving at Hackensack University Medical Center as well, she plays an integral role in Code Stroke response, advanced diagnostic evaluation, and multidisciplinary coordination across neurology, cardiology, and intensive care teams.
She is skilled in managing complex acute conditions including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, septic shock, respiratory failure, diabetic emergencies, and cardiac arrhythmias. Farjana is proficient in central and arterial line insertion, ventilator management fundamentals, and quality metric compliance for Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation.
Her prior experience includes critical care and hospitalist practice at Southern Regional Medical Center (Prime Healthcare) in Georgia, where she led ICU rounds, performed invasive procedures, and collaborated with multi-specialty teams to improve patient outcomes.
