Carolina Lopez FNP is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) with extensive experience in cardiology, preventative care, wellness, and advanced cardiovascular medicine. She earned her nursing degree from William Paterson University and completed her graduate studies at New York University (NYU).
Carolina worked at NYU for over 12 years as both a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, specializing in cardiology with a focus on interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, electrophysiology, and cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures. During her time there, she cared for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions including arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, and inherited cardiac predispositions.
She later joined Valley Medical Group, where she helped expand a structural heart program focused on the management of aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, and tricuspid regurgitation, while also participating in cardiovascular clinical research and trials.
In addition to her cardiology background, Carolina has developed a strong passion for women’s health, wellness, hormone optimization, aesthetics, and medical weight management. She believes in a personalized, patient-centered approach that focuses not only on disease prevention, but also on helping patients feel confident, healthy, and empowered from within.
Carolina is fluent in both English and Spanish and is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with her patients through compassionate, individualized, and culturally sensitive care
